We had the pleasure of attending the APPG Defibrillators Chain of Survival Call to Action meeting at Westminster. Just 1 in 10 survive out of hospital sudden cardiac arrests and this 5 point plan, in particular expanding and standardising CPR and Defibrillator Training in Schools, is something that we’ve been championing with our school partnership with The Golden Thread Alliance.

Sam Richards and Kerry Milliken represented TOBE-Heartsafe and it was wonderful to connect with so many organisations and individuals with the same goals to help save lives. We were moved hearing from the parents of Jamie Rees – Naomi and Gavin and the wonderful work they are doing at the OurJay Foundation to fundraise for defibrillators and access.
